Your dog belongs at your wedding
Caring for dogs at weddings in Cornwall since 2019

You've already pictured them there

Walking down the aisle. In the photographs. Wearing a bow or a little flower collar, looking very pleased with themselves.

And then you start to wonder who would look after them. Someone has to hold the lead while you're saying your vows. Someone has to take them somewhere quiet in the middle of the afternoon, when the music starts and it's all become a bit much. For most couples, it means asking someone they love to step away from the day.

You shouldn't have to choose between having your dog there and having everyone there.

So your dog has their own nanny. Someone who is theirs for the whole day, who knows what they like, and who is quietly watching out for them while you get married.

We support weddings across the whole of Cornwall — wherever your celebration takes you, with occasional availability for Devon weddings when needed.

You'll know who's looking after your dog

Wherever we can, we match your dog with the nanny we think will suit them best. And whoever that turns out to be, you'll speak with them before the wedding.

There's a video call around ten weeks beforehand with the person who'll actually be there on the day. We talk through the plan, say hello to your dog, and listen to everything you'd like to tell us. What they love, what they find a bit much, and the small signs that only you would notice.

So on the morning of your wedding, you're not handing your dog to a stranger. You're handing them to someone you've already met, who knows all about them.

Couples often tell us that's the moment they stopped worrying.

Worried your dog wouldn't cope?

Tell us. It's usually the reason people get in touch in the first place.

Nervous dogs, rescue dogs still working things out, older dogs who tire by the afternoon, young ones who've never seen anything like it. We've looked after all of them.

When you speak to your nanny at the ten week call, we go through how your dog manages day to day. What they enjoy, what worries them, how they are with new people and noise.

Then we plan the day around that, and we agree a back-up plan together, so if your dog has had enough or something changes, everyone already knows what happens next.

Nothing is left to be worked out on the day.

We know how a wedding day runs

We've been doing this since 2019, and weddings are what we know best.

Every wedding is different. Venues are laid out their own way, timings move about on the day, and every dog copes with it differently.

It means we can read your dog on the day, and give them what they need without you ever having to ask. A quiet corner when the crowd gets too much. A walk when they're restless. And a bit of encouragement when they're loving every minute of it.

"We couldn’t recommend Sarah enough!! Our pups loved her so much. It was perfect to have our dogs involved in our day without a family member having to be responsible for them and missing important moments.
Thank you so much for the day WDDN team"

How It Works

Get in touch

Send us a message or fill in the enquiry form, and tell us a little about your day and your dog.

A free video call, if you'd like one

Most couples do, and there's no obligation at all. It's a chance to ask us anything and to get a proper sense of how we work.

Your Quote

Packages start at £550. What it comes to depends on how long you'd like us there and how many dogs you have, as a larger group sometimes needs a second nanny. We'll give you a guide price when you enquire.

Meet your nanny

Once you've booked, we'll match your dog with their nanny, and the three of you will have a video call together about ten weeks before the wedding. By then you'll have a much clearer idea of your timings, so that's when you decide how long you'd like us there and we build the plan around your day.

Your wedding day

We're with your dog for as long as you've asked us to be, and you get to enjoy having them there without wondering how they're getting on.

Hello, I'm Sarah

I started Wedding Day Dog Nanny in 2019, and I still get a little emotional watching a dog come down the aisle. Whoever ends up being your dog's nanny, I'll be the first person you hear from.

Tell us about your dog

We'd love to hear about them, and about your day. Book a free video call and we'll talk it all through.

We're taking bookings for 2026, 2027 and 2028.
